25


1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.11.12.15.19.20.  That is how D counts to 20.  Then he laughs almost knowingly that he is counting wrong.  I think he does it because he can & because he knows it bugs me.  And because he thinks it is so funny.  He even has K laughing these days.  So today was all about counting to 25. Correctly.  Just to throw him in to situations all day where he had to count out loud to 25 & make it a more permanent part of his brain.  Counting cheerios, laps in the yard, rocks in his rock garden, & whatever other clever things we thought of during our day. 

He started his day as a soldier, so we did 25 push-ups like a soldier would do at P.T.


He counted out stickers to place on the number 25.


He counted out his 25 favorite cars while he was playing with them.


He used his stamp to make 25 little pictures.


He nailed 25 nails into the "wooden bench".


And he still counts his funny way.  And still laughs out loud about it.
