Grand Canyon Camping Must-Knows:
1. Go to bed when the sun goes down, when the older folks do. Older is wiser.
2. Do #1 because the crazies will rise as soon as the sun comes up as campers don't come with black out shades.
3. Be prepared to see wildlife everywhere. This not-so-country gal was amazed at some sights.
4. Give the people at the park a break. The showers cost $$$ and are timed. That explained a lot.
5. 8 minute showers -- are you kidding me?!? I am a mom. I nailed this one.
6. Don't bank on getting a fabulous family picture. Parents look scared because the kids are roaming or kids look mad because they aren't allowed to roam, at the pretty picturesque parts.
7. Naps are longer. Afternoons are hotter. & because of #1 & #2, the naps are nice & long.
8. Bring fake turf. Dust gets everywhere, especially right where your kids choose to play.
9. Take your pet. Everyone does. We had fun with our pooch. But be prepared to share your sleeping bag -- the nights are chilly for them too.
10. Do it without technology. It makes for a fun time with family or friends.
