While at the Grand Canyon, we were outdoors a lot. ALOT. This provided us with lots of time to see a ton of things that we would normally not see & even sit back enjoy things that we would never enjoy. Of course you have the Grand Canyon itself which was amazing. It is incredible to sit back & wonder how something that big & that deep could ever come to be. We went to several different parts of the canyon & each are had something unique & different to take in making every trail or walk so worth it. Then we saw lots of animals -- the crazies loved it most. We did not make a single trip from our camping are that we did not see an elk or a deer. In some instances, we ate side-by-side with them. Our first night cooking left Cooper moaning in a scared sort of way. We both kept saying "Hush Cooper" not really noticing anything. Well, when I took the time to look at what he was moaning towards, it was the huge shadow of an elk a mere 5 feet away from us. He was eating his dinner too & stayed there for awhile letting the boys drool over him. We saw bears, elk, deer, rabbits, chipmunks, & so many things by just being in the outdoors. And my personal favorites were the flowers. I was in awe at how they could just flourish in the middle of so much rock adding a speckle of color in the midst of the red, brown, & dark landscapes. So, if I saw one I had to shoot it because they were the perfect touch of pretty in the middle of so much amazement sights already. So we were giddy to be able to see so much... we all had our favorite sights in nature!
