Upon getting to the Grand Canyon, Deacon wanted a hat just like his Daddy's. I call it his Indiana Jones hat. And we found one in one of the (many) shops there so he was stoked to put it on. It read "National Park Ranger" on it which prompted us to look into the Junior Park Ranger program. Well, after visiting the National Visitors Center we had our information & supplies & were on our way to help D earn his badge. He was most excited & the assignments were at a basic level for him to do although his Daddy was pretty into this task too! He did the 4 pages of work & drawings & attended a Park Ranger Class & walked so proudly back to the Ranger desk to turn it all in for his badge. Now, he sleeps in his badge every night & I'm on a mission to order a vest for these collections as I am sure now there will be many more to come since he is at an age to appreciate it!

Taking his oath -- you can see K to the edge... she was there for support : )
He's official now... hat & badge & Raven patch!
